Communities across generations and faiths are coming together to reverse our environmental crisis. Now is the moment to direct our mindful energy outward to heal our planet and each other.

Join us on Thursday, July 13 at 11 AM Pacific Time for the next session in the Mindful Resistance series.

Heather Lyn Mann (author of Ocean of Insight and Chair of the Earth Holder CTC) and Thanissara Weinberg (author of Time to Stand Up) are Dharma teachers and environmental advocates. Heather and Thanissara will discuss how to apply the principles of Engaged Buddhism in caring for the environment. Together we’ll explore how our spiritual practice can help us cultivate resilience and create a future where our children and planet can thrive.

Please join us for this free online conversation. Dana to be requested.

  • Good morning sisters and brothers,
Could you please let me know if the Earth Holder Sangha will confront the necessity of preventing nuclear war and abolishing and stigmatizing nuclear weapons, as per the recent United Nations Ban Treaty? Are you only focussed on climate change per se, or will you please entertain the idea of including nuclear war in your thoughts and plans? In even a “small” nuclear war, 100 warheads, it is estimated that 2 billion people (not to mention other beings) will die. If you decide to take up this issue, I will happily join your activities. I can provide numerous readings and lots of information.

  • Dear Thay, dear sister Judith,
Thank you so much for your love and care for Mother Earth and for your legitimate concern regarding nuclear weapons and their catastrophic effect on life.

Earth Holding is focused on addressing planetary climate change and that includes tending life in all its forms. The CareTaking Council (CTC) of Earth Holder Sangha (EHS) will consider your question and your generous offer to be of service. We wholeheartedly invite you to join us and bring your deep caring. Our online formal EHSangha practice occurs the second Saturday of each month currently at 8 AM Pacific time — when as Earth Holder members and ambassadors we meet to address the many issues related to being alive on the planet at this time through Dharma talks, meditations and sharing.

If you’ve not yet perused our website there is also valuable information that may be helpful. We genuinely appreciate you and your practice.

With a bow, Rev. Jayna Gieber, CTC member
